The best way to handle issues of dilemma among nurses is by making use of theories. Theories are instrumental for a nurse practitioner in that they allow one to get a practice protocol or procedure that helps in the enhancement of the safety and the quality of the decision that is being made. The objective of the study is to assess the effectiveness of the use of lifestyle education based on the health belief model among mothers who have obese children. The mothers are expected to be educated on the obesity-related behaviors of school-aged children.
