Week 3 | Part 3: Strategies to Promote Academic Integrity and Professional Ethics
I have analyzed the relationship between academic integrity and writing, as well as the relationship between professional practices and scholarly ethics. I have also identified strategies I intend to pursue to maintain integrity and ethics of my academic work while a student of the MSN program, as well as my professional work as a nurse throughout my career. I have identified one topic of interest for further study. I have researched and identified one peer-reviewed research article focused on this topic and have analyzed this article. The results of these efforts are shared below.

The reason for the selection of Marry is that it allows the learners to be able to manage their health challenges and that there is an ease in accessing her. The challenge that I have faced in the practice in the past have been handled by her coming in. I was able to get support from her since the time that she offered to help in my learning process and practice in the healthcare facility. After her discovery that I was faced with challenges in some decisions, she came in hand to help me handle the challenges. This allows me as well to be able to learn of the need for teamwork. I, therefore, value her support until today since I can reach out to her and ask any question and she will offer to help me out.

One of the reasons for selecting Yele is that she is always willing to help. I met her during our nursing practice rounds and I was able to handle the various challenges as a result of her help. As a nurse, there are many instances that one is expected to apply their skills in the actual practice. This implies that I have been able to learn from her the need for support and the ease in the process of developing the quality of learning from the others. I have been able to eliminate any risks of poor care as a person. It has been easy for me as well to be able to get to learn how to improve on the implementation of the theories of nursing that are learned. As such, the lessons that are learned have helped me in the development of the capability to learn and the ease in the advancement of the kind of health needed as a result of the application of the theories in actual practice. She can help me at any time that I call for help.

I have chosen Idris due to his role in the university and is one of the persons that I can have access to in many instances as a person. I have opted to get the support of Idris due to his skills in the student needs and the fact that he can help many students and hence has an understanding of the challenges that we are facing. I have been able to get help from him for the past week and he can take both appointments in his office or one can call and get the information they need at any time of the school days. I will therefore rely on his help during my education because there could be instances that I will need help and he will come in hand to help me out in handling such issues.

During the time that I will be undertaking my education, it will be important that I regularly get help from a professional on the program needs and the resources that are needed for one to successfully attain the required standards in the program. It will be an important aspect that one takes into consideration the ease in the decision-making process and that one can be able to determine the program timelines and the schedules. To be able to succeed in getting such information, it will be necessary for me to get the help of a program officer.
